Nearctic region

Geographical boundary:

 This region consists, on its north the entire of north America, in south up to Mexico, in east Greenland and in west Aleutian island.

Climatic condition:

Like Palaearctic region this region has also extreme cold and hot climate.

Ecological condition:

Deciduous forest range, huge grassland, coniferous forest, dry land and Tundra region are prominent ecological zonations.

1. Fish: 

Polydon

garpike

Bowfin

Acipensar

Paddlefish(Polydon), garpike(Lepisosteus), bowfin(Amia), Acipensar etc.

2. Amphibia: 

Ambyostoma(Tiger Salamander)

Axolotl

Amphuma

Siren

Tailed amphibia dominate the amphibian fauna. These are Amphiuma, Ambyostoma, Axolotl, Siren and others neotenous forms.
